Scope
The position entails the following scopes as follows:
- Carrying out field operations cost analysis, following up on indicators and corrective action plans to ensure continuous progress and performance of all field activities;
- Following up and recovery of debts from all staff, outgrowers, and also performing general overhead cost analysis and its follow-up, providing necessary support to the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager in account closing Operations and other specific operations.
Main Accountabilities
- Participate and follow the budget establishment
- Support in ensuring that budgetary control analysis are timely done
- Ensure the consistent monthly follow up of the Outgrower, Garage & Transport cost per area of operation with execution of all action plans
- Guarantee the production of accurate and properly explained monthly Outgrower, Garage & Transport costs two days after FICO closing
- Actively participate in the annual budgeting of the Outgrower, Garage and Transport Unit
- Ensure cost centre creation & hierarchy update of new equipment & follow the cost per equipment per operation for all vehicular equipment to aid smooth closing and proper explanation of allocated cost.
Required Skills or Experience
Education
- First Degree in Accounting or Finance / Administration / Commerce with Emphasis in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University
- ICA ( Part 2) or ACCA Level 2/CMA/ CIMA
- Professional Qualification in Auditing is an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
Skills and Competence
- Advanced computer skills i.e., Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, PowerPoint, Word and accounting softwares
- Good Knowledge in SAP (ERP)
- Self-confidence to take initiatives
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Very proactive, innovative and analytical
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work
- Technical Accounting Expertise and ability to analyse, organise, summarise and articulate complex financial information
- Attention to detail
- Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
- Working Knowledge in French is an added advantage
