Job Description

  • Department: Sourcing
  • Reports Directly To: Director of Resilient Association
  • Location Onsite or remote, as required by organizational activities
Job Purpose
Coordinate and oversee the administration, management and execution of farmer support activities including capacity building and Audits ensuring they are delivered efficiently and meet organizational objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties
PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules for assigned projects or activities.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and workshops related to assigned tasks.
  • Prepare detailed budgets and oversee the allocation of resources for specific programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to set project goals and objectives.
MONITORING AND REPORTING
  • Monitor the progress of projects and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to management or stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of activities and recommend improvements.
  • Identify and address risks or challenges to ensure project success.
COMMUNICATION AND TEAM SUPPORT
  • Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, partners, and team members.
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve program objectives.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution as needed.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
  • Maintain organized records of all activities, resources, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Draft and distribute memos, meeting agendas, and other communication materials.
GENERAL
  • Stay updated on developments in the field related to the coordinator's area of responsibility.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings or events, as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills or Experience

COMPETENCIES
Qualification
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in e.g, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, Cooperative management, project management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and ppt
  • At least two years of experience in a coordination role or similar capacity.
Technical and Personality Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in Agri business will be an added advantage
