We’re growing our production team and looking for a skilled Beam Saw Operator who takes pride in accuracy and craftsmanship to join us.
Role Overview
As our Beam Saw Operator, you’ll be the first critical step in turning premium boards into the perfect components for luxury kitchens and wardrobes. You’ll run our CNC beam saw to cut panels to exact specifications, ensuring zero waste and millimeter-level precision. Quality and safety are non-negotiable here because every cut impacts the final product our clients see.
Key Responsibilities
Precision Cutting: Operate and set up CNC beam saw to cut MDF, MFC, plywood, veneer, HPL, and acrylic panels according to cutting lists and technical drawings
Program & Optimize: Load cutting programs, nest parts for material optimization, and adjust parameters to minimize waste and maximize yield
Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and position large panels. Ensure proper labeling and staging for edge banding and CNC machining
Quality Control: Verify dimensions with calipers and tape, check for chipping, and ensure all cuts meet luxury-grade tolerances +/- 0.2mm
Machine Maintenance: Perform daily checks, blade changes, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting. Keep the saw and work area clean and safe
Documentation: Record material usage, production output, and report defects or machine issues to the Production Supervisor
Teamwork: Coordinate closely with CNC, edge banding, and assembly teams to maintain smooth production flow
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years operating a beam saw or panel saw in a furniture, kitchen, or wardrobe manufacturing environment. CNC beam saw experience preferred
Technical Skills: Ability to read cutting lists, technical drawings, and work with nesting software. Familiar with brands like Homag, Biesse, SCM is a plus
Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision cutting for high-end products
Safety First: Knowledge of machine safety protocols, PPE use, and workshop safety standards
Physical: Ability to lift 20-25kg panels and stand for extended periods Mindset: Reliable, punctual, and a problem-solver who takes ownership of quality Nice to Have
Experience working with luxury finishes: veneers, high-gloss acrylic, textured MFC
Basic mechanical skills for minor maintenance
Experience in a lean manufacturing / 5S environment

DUTIES, TASK AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Monitor daily, weekly and monthly food, beverage, guest supplies, operating supplies and other controllable costs against budget, forecast and prior-period results.
Prepare cost reports, gross profit analyses and variance reports for management, clearly identifying causes and recommending corrective action.
Maintain standard recipes, portion costs, menu costings and selling-price analyses in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager.
Reconcile point-of-sale sales, purchases, transfers, issues, consumption and physical inventory; investigate shortages, overages, wastage and pilferage.

Perform other related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Financial Accountant.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have at least Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, Purchasing and Supply, or a related discipline from a recognized academic institution.
Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in hotel cost control, inventory control, stores, finance or food and beverage operations.
Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Practical knowledge of hotel operations, standard costing, inventory management, budgeting, variance analysis and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with hotel accounting, point-of-sale and inventorymanagement systems.
Knowledge of applicable Ghanaian tax, food-safety and operational compliance requirements is an advantage.
Must have a high degree of honesty and integrity.
