BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT The purpose of the Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity (GFRA) is to prevent the collapse of the small pelagic fishery sector in Ghana while improving the supplemental livelihoods, resilience, and food security. This activity seeks to improve supplemental livelihoods and resilience measures for fishing communities, particularly for women and youth; facilitate private sector engagement and market linkages in the fishing sector; strengthen government capacity in policy-making, regulation and enforcement; strengthen improved science and research, including data for policy and management decisions; and empower key stakeholders to effect change. GFRA is seeking the services of an experienced communications training consultant to provide training for high-level directors of the Fisheries Commission and the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development. The consultant will be responsible for designing and conducting a comprehensive communications training program tailored to the specific needs of the Fisheries Commission, and the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development The objective of the consultancy is to:

GFRA will finance all training costs. The consultant will provide a detailed budget proposal that includes all costs associated with the training program, including fees, materials, travel expenses for participants , and any additional expenses. Reporting and Communication: The consultant will maintain open and effective communication with GFRA throughout the project, including regular progress updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. G: Reporting and Recommendations:
4. Timeline: The consultant will finalize all work by February 28, 2024. The consultant will work with GFRA to establish a training schedule, including dates for the needs assessment, training sessions, and post-training evaluation. 5. Budget: This Scope of Work is subject to negotiation and agreement between the Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity and the selected communications training consultant.
