Job Description
To be employed as a Sales Engineer to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Promoting Customized Solutions: Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities with mining companies across Ghana and West Africa, leveraging hands-on experience to promote the company’s portfolio, including Crusher Wear and spare parts, Screening Media, Belt Fasteners (e.g., Super Screw), Wear-resistant Plates, General Consumables for underground operations, Crushing Equipment, Screening Equipment, mobile crushing plants, auxiliary equipment (e.g., feeders), Pumps, Valves, Pulley, Compressors, Lifting and Rigging Equipment
- Deliver compelling, field-based product demonstrations, highlighting real-world applications of the company's offerings to underscore quality, durability, and extended equipment lifespan.
- Cultivate and sustain robust client relationships through proactive problem-solving, hands-on technical support, post-sales service, and targeted training, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in demanding mining operations.
- Surpass sales targets by applying extensive field experience, conducting strategic market analysis, generating high-quality leads, and mastering negotiations to grow the company's footprint in Ghana and West Africa, while promoting the superior durability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our product portfoli
- Monitor industry trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging technologies in mining equipment and consumables, utilizing deep practical knowledge to strategically position company solutions and uncover new revenue opportunities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including procurement, sales support, and technical teams, to guarantee seamless order fulfillment and delivery of client requirements for purchased or leased equipment, such as auxiliary components and underground supplies.
- Track client feedback and performance metrics, drawing on field expertise to iteratively refine sales approaches and deliver tailored solutions that address evolving needs.
Required Skills or Experience
- At least 10-15 years of hands-on experience in the mining industry (e.g., starting in early career roles), demonstrating maturity, reliability, and the ability to manage high-stakes client interactions and technical challenges in demanding environments like West African mining operations. Employer prefers someone with:
- Extensive hands-on experience in the mining industry, with a strong preference for practical expertise in the use, maintenance, or application of mining equipment and consumables, superseding academic qualifications.
- A technically relevant qualification (e.g., in mechanical engineering, mining engineering, or a related field) would be a plus.
- A minimum standard of English language proficiency in speaking and writing is required to communicate with clients and internal teams effectively.
