Job Description

  • Reports to: General Manager
Job Purpose
To maintain accurate financial records, prepare and reconcile accounts, process transactions, and support financial reporting to ensure the organization’s finances are managed in compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
 
Key Duties/Responsibilities
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash and bank balances.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and ensure timely settlements.
  • Payroll processing, ensuring statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, etc.) are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for financial documents (both physical and electronic).
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Support the Finance Manager in preparing budgets and expenditure forecasts.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary records and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and other regulatory reporting requirements.

Required Skills or Experience

Educational & Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Membership in a professional accounting body (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
Skills/Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

N:B: Must reside in Accra and be able to easily commute to and from Circle
