To provide leadership in the pursuit of excellence in everything we do, ensuring that our children are safeguarded and given the opportunity to achieve their full potential. 

Key responsibilities and duties

Leadership & Management 

• To lead all aspects of the day to day management of the Centre.
• To coordinate the development and delivery of policies and plans in accordance with strategic priorities. 
• To manage efficiently the admissions process in line with policies and procedures.
• To ensure that Individual Education & Care Plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed for all students.
• To facilitate continued professional development through training, on the job support and robust performance management.
• To participate in public facing events: conferences, seminars, lectures and occasionally radio, television and online programmes to promote the Centre’s mission and work.
• To spearhead marketing campaigns across different platforms (social media, the in-house newsletter, etc) with the aim of raising the profile of the centre and building it into a strong, recognised brand. 

Finance, HR and Compliance

• To oversee all aspects of financial management within the framework of sound accounting principles and practices and in line with internal financial regulations and procedures.
• To maximise income from multiple streams, from entrepreneurial activity to direct fundraising. As part of this to put together project proposals and bids for funding.

Advocacy & Networking 

• To champion the cause of special needs education through advocacy, partnership and networking at national and international levels.
• To collaborate effectively with parents, community leaders, sponsors and friends of the Centre.

Required Skills or Experience

• Relevant qualification in education
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mid to senior level position in education/care
• Strong aptitude for marketing/advocacy
• Track record of working with people with special needs 
• Strong aptitude for marketing 
• Well-developed IT skills including social media
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and relevant legislation
