Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Housekeeping

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
Dust and clean furniture, windows, and surfaces.
Empty bins and dispose of waste properly.
Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Change bed linens and make beds as required.

Laundry & Ironing

Wash, dry, and fold clothes, towels, and bedding.
Iron and store clothing and household fabrics properly.

Kitchen & Meal Assistance

Assist with basic food preparation and serving meals if required.
Wash dishes, clean kitchen surfaces, and maintain hygiene in food areas.

Health & Safety Compliance

Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
Report any hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Experience

SHS qualification required; experience in cleaning or housekeeping is beneficial.
Previous experience in a care home, catering, or domestic setting is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and health & safety procedures.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management and efficiency in completing tasks.
Understanding of hygiene and infection control measures.
Good communication skills, especially in care environments.
