Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Engage with prospective and existing clients to sell and upsell corporate/group insurance solutions via direct engagements, referrals, and other means.
  • Build a strong pipeline of target corporates, identify their needs and customize insurance solutions that meet the needs of the identified corporates.
  • Close and onboard new corporate clients unto various insurance solutions.
  • Keep close relationship with key decision makers of existing clients to ensure that policies are renewed at policy anniversary. 
  • Keep close engagements with leading Insurance brokerage firms on the market to secure businesses from them. 
  • Resolve client complains and queries timeously and ensure client records are kept updated and appropriately secured.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales activity report to outline deals closed and pipeline businesses being pursued. 
  • Support the CCO in the implementation of the broader sales and marketing strategy of the business. 
  • Attend thought-leadership events; industry related conferences, various seminars and conferences to network and build relationships with influential personalities for business development purposes.
  • Build top level relationships with CEOs/MDs and senior executives of blue-chip companies and leverage those for business closure.
  • Drive customer service excellence and turn-around-time for quotations, pricing, underwriting, premium receipt, renewals and claims payment at all times.
  • Any other duty commensurate to the role as directed by the Line Manager

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of a first degree in Marketing  or equivalent qualification with at least 3 years relevant experience
  • Partly qualified Marketing professional

  • Sound knowledge of Insurance regulatory framework of the National Insurance Commission
  • Exceptional skills in report writing, organizational and time management
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
