Job Description

  • Project Title: Evaluation of DMPA-SC Self-Injection Scale-Up in Community Pharmacies in Ghana
  • Implementing Organization: DKT Ghana
  • Duration: 30 Days (June – July 2025)
  • Location: Nationwide (All 16 Regions of Ghana)

 

Background

DKT Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana College of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Council, and Ghana Health Service, is implementing a national project to evaluate the scale-up of DMPA-SC self-injection contraceptive services in community pharmacies. The evaluation will assess consumer willingness to pay, satisfaction with telemedicine services (Lydia Contact Center), and pricing dynamics, including the presence of non-quality-assured DMPA products.

To support the data collection activities across the country, DKT Ghana is seeking qualified and experienced Data Collectors in all 16 regions of Ghana.

Scope of Work

Each recruited data collector will:

  1. Participate in a 2-day training on the evaluation objectives, tools, ethical procedures, and digital data collection platforms.
  2. Administer client satisfaction surveys, retail audits, and structured interviews with DMPA-SC clients, pharmacists, and Lydia Contact Center users.
  3. Ensure accurate and complete data entry into mobile data collection tools (ODK/KoBoToolbox).
  4. Maintain data confidentiality and adhere strictly to research ethics and project protocols.
  5. Submit daily activity reports and collaborate with regional supervisors and project M&E leads.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Pharmacy Technician, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of field experience in health-related surveys or data collection.
  • Proficiency in the use of mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoBoToolbox, ODK).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one local language in their assigned region.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
