Job Description

  • Location: Tema

The post holder shall build relationships with internal departments such as sales and client care and with external government agencies or authorities to ensure the highest quality of work is achieved. The officer will identify target audiences, then develop and share information that is tailored to audience preferences. The officer is supposed to prospect for contracts from government and corporate agencies to meet monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual reports. The role reports to the Human Resource manager, digital team lead and the managing director in charge administration and public relations.

 
Role Responsibilities

  • Prospect for contracts in corporate organizations, Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
  • Liaise with government agencies like the automotive development authority. 
  • Identify target audience and run media and advertisement programs. 
  • Monitor bid in order to ensure it is aligned with the organization's requirements. 
  • Write strategic speeches for directors for high profile events like vehicle launch among others
  • Create and maintain relationship with high profile clients especially heads of governmental agencies
  • Report to the head of Public Relations on opportunities across various industries and agencies and establish leads into closing such deals
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly report on public relations activities and device strategies in communication that can improve sales. 
  • Chase up on payments for executed contracts and ensure payment terms are adhered to
  • Liaise with the marketing and administration department to handle corporate affairs issues. 
  • Any other duties assigned by manager to improve the brand image of the company.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification

  • Degree in Business Administration, Communications and Public Relations or Journalism or any other field related to the position
  • 4 years practical experience in a similar position is and added advantage
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • Experience of a busy, high pressure working environment is an advantage as the role demands the ability to handle multiple workloads with key task identification and prioritization essential
  • An amount of creativity is needed to produce tailored documents that accurately portray and sell the company’s products and services.
