Job Description

Job Summary
The HDPE Plant Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the complete HDPE bottling line used for flavored milk production. The role includes ensuring smooth production flow, handling preventive maintenance, supporting product changeovers, and minimizing machine downtime. The technician will work on Chinese-manufactured machinery and must adapt to new equipment and technology with a proactive approach.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor HDPE bottle blowing, filling, capping, and packaging machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as per the defined maintenance schedule for all HDPE line equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues on the production line.
  • Assist in product changeovers including bottle mold changes and setting adjustments for different SKUs.
  • Ensure hygienic and food safety practices are followed in all maintenance and operational tasks.
  • Support Chinese OEM engineers during installation, commissioning, or service visits.
  • Document breakdowns, maintenance tasks, spare usage, and production downtime accurately.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality team to maintain optimal output and product quality.

Required Skills or Experience

Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in plastic bottle production or liquid filling line (HDPE preferred)
  • Basic understanding of blow molding, filling, and packaging line operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical faults
  • Good communication and coordination skills, especially with foreign engineers
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Chinese-manufactured equipment and documentation
  • Awareness of hygiene and safety protocols in food production environments
