Job Description

Our Expectations
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, efficient, and trustworthy Finance Assistant/Admin to join our team, preferably someone residing at Oyibi and in its vicinity. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about supporting both administrative and financial functions, skilled in organization and record-keeping, and committed to ensuring the smooth running of office operations.

The Admin/Finance Assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support while handling basic financial tasks such as expense monitoring, petty cash management, and record reconciliation. Their goal is to maintain accurate documentation, support financial accountability, and ensure compliance with company procedures. By collaborating with colleagues and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, the Admin/Finance Assistant plays a pivotal role in contributing to the organization’s efficiency, transparency, and overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Manage correspondence, filing, and documentation.
  • Support financial functions including budget preparation, expense monitoring, petty cash management, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and support audits when required.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required Skills or Experience

  • At least a Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in administration with a strong financial background.
  • Prior experience in the education sector will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
