Job Description

We are seeking a committed and innovative A-Level ICT Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, guide students to success in their A-Level examinations, and foster skills in digital literacy, programming, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and deliver the A-Level ICT curriculum with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and external examinations.
  • Design engaging lessons that cover theory, practical applications, and problem-solving in ICT.
  • Support students in developing programming, data management, networking, and digital communication skills.
  • Incorporate modern technologies and e-learning tools to enhance classroom delivery.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student performance, providing regular feedback and tailored support.
  • Offer academic mentoring, including guidance on higher education and career pathways in ICT and Computer Science.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, resource planning, and continuous improvement of teaching strategies.
  • Lead or support ICT-related extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, and digital competitions.
  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and online safety standards at all times.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s desired).
  • Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience at A-Level (or equivalent such as IB, AP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in preparing students for examinations.
  • Strong subject expertise and practical ICT skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in both theory and practice.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, programming languages, and classroom technologies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, online safety, and student well-being.
