Job Description

Our company is a mixed farming and trading company established and incorporated in May 2018 under the Companies Act of Ghana. It is a privately owned Ghanaian company based in Tanoboase in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region. The company intends to utilize its available resources to expand gradually over the coming years.
 
As the marketing officer, you are responsible for the daily planning, organizing, and supervising of sales and marketing activities of the company.  
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Develop, expand, and apply the marketing policies and strategies for the organization in line with the firm’s objectives.
  • Be the leading head of the executive team to set up the marketing and sales strategy for the business. 
  • Managing the marketing and sales team that can also include PR and creative staff. 
  • Researching, performing market survey, and analyzing sales trends and competitors’ activities. 
  • Tracking effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the executive team. 
  • Together with management, determining prices based on the company’s profitability ratios. 
  • Preparing a budget for the marketing department and ensuring that the budget spent is delivering a return on investment.
  • Ensuring the company’s representation events, such as trade shows, conferences, and festivals that are deemed useful.
  • Giving periodic marketing and sales reports (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and at any time required) to management.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Handling customer questions, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND/Degree in Marketing
  • 3 years or more
  • Experience in Agribusiness is a plus
  • 25 years to 40 years
