JOB PROFILE

INTU-Group Ghana Ltd. is looking to expand. Our business is growing. A key member of the company hierarchy, the General Manager is responsible for overseeing the entirety of an organization’s operations. This individual must ensure that company goals are met in a timely fashion by efficiently and effectively managing personnel and resources. The post requires its incumbent to have excellent multi-tasking, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the industry and related finances.

This is a high-stress position based on full responsibility for the Group’s activities/ operations. The selected candidate must be able to handle detailed, complex concepts and problems, and make rapid decisions regarding administrative issues; plans and implement programs. Develops smooth and constructive relationships with executive colleagues, outside agencies, organizations and individuals. Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of Management and conveys a professional and positive image and attitude of the INTU-gROUP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and implement companywide policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with the CEO, unit heads, and staff as necessary.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain INTU – gROUP’s high-performance team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning and budgeting.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or units concerned with pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products, client services, administration and finance.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Directs internal operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria, and to preserve the capital funds invested in the enterprise.
  • Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.  Recommends their adoption to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the enterprise.
  • Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with the CEO’s broad policies and objectives and insures their adequate execution.  Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results to the CEO
  • Monitor units to ensure that they efficiently and effectively meet targets while staying within budgetary limits.
  • Oversee activities directly related to making products and providing services.
  • Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, seminars and conferences for and on behalf of the organization

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
  • Have proficient leadership, organizational and supervisory skills
  • Have first-rate skills in understanding, creating and analyzing financial reports or budgets
  • Be able to properly manage teams and employees
