Job Description
Reporting to the Learning and Development Coordinator, this role involves planning, implementing and evaluating learning activities and entails L & D administration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement L & D policies, including review of guidelines on digital learning to conform to current trends
- Plan and organise L&D interventions for individuals and teams based learning needs for the year, working together with supervisors
- Implement L&D Activities- Coordinate the delivery of corporate policy on e-Learning, process updates and mandatory learning activities; coordinate face-to-face learning events and manage the interface between participants and learning service providers
- Provide inputs into the development of the WApCo L & D budget and track actual expenditure against budget
- Coordinate the provision of L&D logistics
- Learning activities tracking, evaluation and reporting - collate and analyse pre-Iearning and, post-learning assessments and returns on learning action plans for management decision making.
- Instructional Design of Digital Learning Content- plan, design and deliver required interactive and engaging e-learning and blended- learning content using a variety of formats and inputs, including graphics, audio and video
- Support in-house subject matter experts to plan and roll interactive and engaging e-Learning activities.
- Explore and integrate new online learning technologies and software with the support of the IT team update instructional resources, including multimedia supported learning
- Leverage and maximise utility of Learning and Development technologies
- Manage the L&D arena on the WAPCo intranet
- Develop, update and manage the Learning Management System
- Develop, update and manage the Knowledge Management System
- Act as the administrator for the Competency Management System
- Orientation of New Employees - plan, deliver and coordinate orientation for non-managerial employees
- Update and maintain both manual and electronic records of learning briefs, proposals, facilitation plans, rosters, reports and assessments
- Analyse L & D metrics and manage learning database
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Engineering, Economics or Health & Safety
- Professional Certificate in Instructional Design or an advanced
- degree in Adult Education! Human Resources Development is an advantage .'
- Minimum of 7-9 years of post qualification experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Learning & Development
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Development levers, including adult learning philosophy, experiential learning and the 70:20;10 models are required.
- A record of accomplishment in e-Learning design, content development, deployment,and delivering e-Learning and blended learning solutions are essential
- Instructional designing using Microsoft Productivity Tools and e-Learning Authoring Tools
- Interactive and engaging learning content creation and development ,
- Developing, updating and managing a learning management
- Developing, - updating and managing a knowledge management system
- Project Management .
- Competency management administration
- Good presentation skills
- Client/ Vendor Consulting and management skills
- Data management
