Job Description

  • Head the Agent Network unit and lead the unit to grow the agent network by acquiring credible and qualified retail agents across approved territories.
  • The role will source, identify and recruit new business development staff to join the unit; subject to the processes and approval of HR.
  • Develop and execute approved strategies to meet desired business and financial objectives of the unit.
  • Drive traffic to agent locations to grow volume and value of transactions.
  • Assess market competition by monitoring competitors and making recommendations to management on strategy.
  • Liaise with marketing to develop marketing campaigns to drive business.
  • Conduct surveys on existing customers and prospective customers for management analytical purposes
  • At agreed frequencies provide qualified information to management on achievements, activities, product performance, etc.
  • Drive sales resources by counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Monitor and manage team’s performance.
  • Conduct a minimum of one (1) capacity building exercise monthly for the team.
  • Plan and co-ordinate sales activations at least once every quarter.
  • Undertake any other duties as specified by management

  • Team compliance with the firm and industries regulations.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of five years working experience in a sales role, two of which should be in a supervisory role.
  • Work experience in the telecommunications, insurance or retail banking industries.
  • A minimum of a first degree (2nd class lower) certificate.
  • Proven practical knowledge of sales principles and sales leadership.
  • Proven managerial, team work and team leadership skills.
  • Creativity thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within the market place.
  • Proven record of delivering against targets
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Initiative and drive.
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm for meeting targets
