Job Description

Station: Greater Accra and other Regions 

Job Summary
A General Manager with betting experience or interest will be preferred. Candidate(s) will provide strategic leadership to our core business (betting), specifically managing staff under their jurisdiction, forming a strong partnership with other key positions such as Operation and Marketing Managers and also, partner Africabets with other investors interested in betting for massive growth and expansion.

Duties/ Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Exhibit dynamic leadership and motivate team members in the Key Departments to effectively manage its vision and resources. 
  • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge and practical experience in the development of start-up multifunctional projects and ensure the principles and values permeate the business units and at all functional levels.
  • Be visionary and a great planner working closely with the Board of Directors to facilitate development and lead the achievement of the vision and long-term goals in line with the Group vision and mission principles. 
  • Facilitate the development of strategic Operation and Marketing plans in line with the Group strategic plan. 
  • Allocate time both for business area initiatives development and also operational and administrative functions.
  • Capitalize on opportunities and overcome obstacles to achieve projects to scale, and sustainability in line with the Groups mission principles and the business strategic plan. 
  • Oversee projects planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation and also develop and manage effective partnerships to accomplish project goals. 
  • Ensure that the business units and its projects in consultation with the Board of Directors, manage planning processes to set annual and strategic plans for our core business (Betting).
  • Directly and indirectly supervise various team members both in-house and on field to ensure smooth business collaboration and workflow.
  • In consultation with the Group Level and Board of Directors, contribute to the policy guidelines development, recommend and assist with setting policies to govern the general operations of the betting business.
  • Salary/ Remuneration: Attractive and Negotiable    (GHC5, 000.00 and above)

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification/ Experience
The successful candidate for the General Manager position should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of Five (5) years’ working experience or Master’s Degree with about Three (3) years’ experience or more will be preferred.
  • Must have played a Senior Managerial Role/ Experience with any Betting company (at least three (3) years) or any recognized senior Managerial/ Marketing experience with Telcos, Banking or other reputable service oriented companies.
  • Experience in serving on the Board of Directors for a profit making company will be an added advantage. 
  • Experience or interest in general betting business or related businesses, and cross-cultural relationship development will also be an added advantage. 
  • Experienced in relevant fields such as Marketing and Business Development, Strategic Planning and Management, Project Management, Analytical Writing and Communication Skills, Market Research and other relevant experiences, will be an added advantage
