Job Description

• Job Title:    Sanitation Marketing Coordinator
• Contract Type: Twelve (6 months) with possibility of extension 
• Reports To:   BDS/PPP Specialist
• Location:  Accra Office (with 90% field travel within the Volta, Savannah, and Northern regions)

Global Communities is seeking a qualified individual to fill the Sanitation Marketing Coordinator role in its Accra office under the ongoing WASH For Health Program. This program focuses on delivery of water and sanitation infrastructure with emphasis on improving sanitation and health practices in selected districts in Ghana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sanitation Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for meeting sales/distribution targets for Global Communities sanitation products and services under the W4H program. S/he will liaise with the BDS/PPP Specialist to meet these targets with particular emphasis on Digni-Loo products and accessories. To fulfill these requirements, the Sanitation Marketing Coordinator role entails the following duties:

• Develop an efficient and sustainable sales and marketing strategy for the sanitation products and services particularly the Digni-Loo.
• Develop a database of current and prospective Digni-Loo clients, as well as a prospective value chain for Global Communities sanitation innovations.
• Create a business profile of all Global Communities W4H clients.
• Develop tools to monitor/track the sales and payments for purchases of Digni-Loo and other Global Communities sanitation products and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with W4H program stakeholders in both the governmental and private sectors (e.g. the Ghana Water Company Limited, Duraplast Limited, and district assemblies in W4H districts) to promote and increase sales of Digni-Loo and related products.
• Visit W4H program communities and districts to conduct business with micro-entrepreneurs (provide training/orientation on the use of Digni-Loo and other Global Communities sanitation products/services).
• Responsible for coordinating sales and distribution of Digni-Loos and related products to W4H beneficiary communities and related stakeholders.
• Liaise with the in-house communications team and external media channels to provide relevant and timely publicity for Digni-Loos and other Global Communities sanitation products/services
• Any other duty assigned by the BDS/PPP Specialist and DCOP

Required Skills or Experience

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

• Ability to meet deadlines and sales targets
• Ability to work independently and proactively

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of first degree in one of the following or related disciplines: Business Administrations, Marketing, Statistics, Public Health, Sanitation Engineering, Development Studies,
• Knowledge and/or experience of working with a CRM platform
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in sanitation marketing
• Proficiency with statistical packages and strong IT skills in Microsoft Suite particularly Excel, SPSS, Access.
