Job Description

Transnational Academic Group, in partnership with Lancaster University UK, delivers British undergraduate, postgraduate and foundation programmes at its campus in Ghana.  As we move onto the next exciting phase of our mission to develop African leaders of tomorrow, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and dynamic professional to lead our Marketing Team with the implementation of the University’s marketing strategy and to advance the profile, reputation and development of the University through delivery of a wide range of marketing activities and promotional activity.

The Role

  • Responsible for managing (Head of Department) all marketing and PR activities of the company, including digital marketing strategies, external branding, internal collaterals to support student recruitment and ensure return on investment.
  • Execute short- and long-term strategic marketing plans that maximize the return on key program objectives.
  • Works across the University to develop strategies that broaden awareness/interest, increase student applications, and drive yield for Lancaster Ghana’s Foundation, Undergraduate & Postgraduate programs.
  • Develop marketing techniques to drive students’ recruitment and maintain current students.
  • Develop, operationalize and implement annual marketing strategies and plans and align marketing plans with TAG’s objectives and strategies.
  • Undertake research and market analysis to support LUG’s business plans/strategies.
  • Manage the annual marketing/communication advertising budget; secure budget approval and manage effectively in line with objectives.
  • Evolve and implement branded messaging through all content to ensure the consumer voice and relevant brand components are accurately and consistently represented across our channels of communication.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to increase engagement with key audience segments, develop and lead initiatives to support new and ongoing strategies and tactics.
  • Strengthen the prospective student audience/market understanding through surveys and focus groups. Leverage findings to recommend innovative opportunities that will inform both downstream and upstream marketing

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, MBA (Marketing option) or a related discipline 
  • Professional certification in marketing i.e.,CIM, CIMA etc.
  • Professional certification in Advertising
  • At least 6 years post-qualification relevant work experience
