Job Description

The position is a permanent role and is based in our Head Office- Accra.

What will your role be?

The Digital Marketing Officer will implement, track, monitor, and optimize marketing campaigns across all digital platforms. The role holder is responsible for planning and executing all web, SEO/SEM, direct marketing, social media, and display advertising campaigns.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Marketing

  • Contributes to the definition of social media strategies through insight gathering from competition, trends, and best practices.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence.
  • Creates marketing campaigns for digital and online channels including websites, apps, and social media.
  • Manage the creation and publishing of relevant and engaging content on the company’s website and social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant sites such as WhatsApp, and continuously improve Search Engine Optimization (SEO) across all relevant channels.
  • Propose new concepts and ideas for content development.
  • Generates leads and collaborates with the Customer Relationship Centre to convert the leads.
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROIs and KPIs)
  • Develop online market research surveys to gather feedback from customers and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Identify trends and insights, optimize spend and performance, and contribute to the definition of social media strategies based on the insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Collaborate with agencies and other third-party vendors.
  • Continuously research market trends, Advans’ brand audience, and the competition
  • Stay abreast with new digital tools, technologies, platforms, and trends and share with management.

Graphic Design

  • Assist with basic design and editing of creatives/artworks for communication.

Event Marketing

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Operations officer to manage the company’s photobank and events.

 OTHERS

Any other duty as may be assigned by the Head of Department

CHALLENGES

  • Will be handling multiple projects simultaneously from time to time.
  • May work late hours to meet deadlines.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing.
  • Proficiency in the use of the general Microsoft Office suite is important.
  • At least 1-year experience working in digital marketing.
  • Experience in managing SEO/SEM, social media, and banner display advertising.
  • Good understanding of how to identify target markets and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Familiarity with branding, marketing, and communication theories and concepts digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics (or another online stats tool), etc.
  • Knowledge of Canva or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Certification in Digital Marketing is a plus.
