Job Description

A reputable school in Dome Pillar 2 invites applications from experienced, results-oriented, and highly motivated individuals for the position of Home Economics Teacher for immediate appointment.

Job Summary

The Home Economics Teacher is also a class teacher. He/she is directly responsible to the Head of School and ultimately to the CEO

Duties/Responsibilities

The Home Economics Teacher shall:
Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils and staff;
Ensure improvement in teaching, learning, and curriculum development;
Ensure the achievement of excellent academic standards;
Promote school discipline;

Required Skills or Experience

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must:

Must be a professional teacher with a degree in Education/ Home Economics
Have taught Home Economics at JHS for a minimum of 3-5 years proven track record of achieving excellent BECE results in the schools they taught
Must be computer literate, adept in Microsoft suite (particularly Word and EXCEL)
Working knowledge of British or American educational curriculums will be an advantage.
