Job Description

GHANA TRADE AND INVESTMENT ACTIVITY

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL # RFP-GTI-C-2024-012

ORGANIZE GHANA HORTICULTURE EXPO 2024

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), through the Feed the Future Ghana Trade and Investment (GTI) Activity, is seeking a qualified service provider to lead the organization and implementation of the Ghana Horticulture Expo 2024. The event will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre from July 9 to 11, 2024.

The selected service provider will collaborate closely with GTI and the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) event committee, receiving guidance and support throughout the planning and implementation process. The provider’s expertise in event management, understanding of the horticulture sector, and commitment to GTI's goals are crucial for a successful event.

The Ghana Horticulture Expo 2024 aims to attract approximately 1,000 participants from diverse stakeholder groups, including private sector actors, CEOs of export companies, financial institutions, government agencies, NGOs, donor-funded projects, value chain associations, producers, agro-processors, packaging companies, manufacturers, logistics service providers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.

The Feed the Future Ghana Trade and Investment Activity is not obligated to execute a subcontract or pay for proposal preparation costs and can reject offers in their best interest.

Required Skills or Experience

This RFP is open to qualified firms experienced in providing the described services. Preference will be given to those with previous experience working on Feed the Future-funded projects in Ghana.
