A trusted ICT and Telecommunication Company in Ghana is looking for Operations Engineer, for immediate employment

Job Purpose

• Operations Engineer is to ensure operational problems are eliminated by monitoring network performance, design, plan and roll out backbone and customer premise installations.
• Provide effective information through reports for business decision making on the network and supervise staff effectively through directing them to meet their role expectations, make decisions within the organization’s values on all tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design and implement networks
• Evaluate networks and document findings
• Maintain networks and manage direct contractor and sub-contractors
• Deploy backbone network and user installations professionally and in accordance to company accepted practices
• Train installer and ensure they comply to company expectations
• Analyse network data and interpret it for use to maintain client satisfaction and company profitability
• Administer engineering maintenance contracts
• Configure, support and resolve end to end all faults on radio and fiber network components at all locations
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects
• Develop operations and technical solutions to improve operational effectiveness
• Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve network-related service issues, provide technical support, and ensure high-quality service delivery for customers

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor's degree inTelecommunication Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing and supporting networks preferably in enterprise networking or telecommunications Industry
• A proactive approach in to solving complex technical challenges
• Proven experience in a network operations, network support, or similar role within the telecommunications industry
• Familiarity with enterprise networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and data centers
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with engineers and other stakeholders
