Job Description

  • Duty Station : Area Offices (Makessim, Ablekuma, Abuakwa)
PURPOSE
The Relationship Officers will be responsible for the acquisition and management of private clients and very small non-loan clients by providing the range of products and services tailor made to suit the needs of the target group.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Client Acquisition 
  • Client Management 
  • Reporting 
  • Service Delivery 
  • Drive sales and deposit mobilization for service points and branches.
  • Marketing of product to prospective and existing customers
  • Assist in opening accounts for new customers
  • Collection of customers contribution
  • Delivers against individual targets, also contributing to branch and company-wide targets
  • Visit and follows up on interested clients to assist them to sign up for the right product.
  • Keep accurate records of all clients.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to developing a strong sense of client orientation amongst all staff in the service points/branches 
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the banking department.
  • Support the monitoring of service delivery levels to ensure a consistent match between actual service delivery and agreed institutional standards
  • Preparation and submission of monthly reports on business, operations and other standard reports as required by supervisor.
  • Performs any other duties assigned supervisor.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Required Skills or Experience

EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking services.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, banking processes, products, and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and software.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and workflows.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • HND/Bachelors’ Degree
  • Concentration / Major: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
