Job Description

World Vision Ghana and Vision Fund Ghana are seeking a well-organized and experienced individual consultant or consultancy firm to conduct a Market and Value Chain Analysis (MVCA) across 14 Area Programs implementing the THRIVE Project.
The assignment aims to provide evidence-based insights to support the design of inclusive, sustainable livelihood interventions—focusing on income generation and employment for women, youth, aged persons, and people with disabilities.

Key Objectives
  • Conduct MVCA on on-farm, off-farm, and non-farm value chains
  • Map and analyze systemic constraints in rural and urban settings
  • Inform market systems interventions using MSD principles:
  1. Identify underlying causes
  2. Focus on system change
  3. Incentivize inclusive behavior
  4. Iterate continuously

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years in value chain development, market assessments, or related fields
  • Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business, Community Development, or related field (PhD is an asset)
  • Proven expertise in market systems development, agribusiness, and GESI/ESCA
  • Experience in financial inclusion/microfinance, including credit diagnostics
  • Strong participatory research and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Capacity for primary data collection and local fieldwork

  • In addition, proposals must also be submitted electronically via email, addressed to the Supply Chain Manager at Benjamin_adu-amoah@wvi.org, with a copy to hannah_tetteh@wvi.org
  • Deadline for submission of Financial and Technical proposal is Two (2) weeks after publications Submission of Proposals
