  • Reports to: New Business Development and Monitoring & Evaluation Manager

 

📌 Program Overview

DKT Ghana invites applications for its 2025 Graduate Internship Program, a comprehensive, one-year, full-time learning experience designed to cultivate the next generation of grant management professionals in the reproductive health and nonprofit sectors.

This internship is tailored for recent graduates passionate about social impact, data-driven decision-making, and innovative fundraising. Interns will work closely with the New Business Development and Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, gaining hands-on experience in donor engagement, proposal development, grant compliance, and performance monitoring.


🧭 Key Responsibilities

🔍 Grant Research & Proposal Development

  • Identify and analyze funding opportunities aligned with DKT Ghana’s mission.
  • Assist in drafting compelling grant proposals and concept notes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals.

🤝 Donor Engagement & Reporting

  • Support the preparation of timely and accurate donor reports.
  • Maintain a donor database, tracking communication and reporting schedules.
  • Assist in organizing donor meetings and presentations.

📊 Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Support

  • Contribute to the development of M&E frameworks for grant-funded projects.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess project performance.
  • Prepare summaries and visualizations of M&E findings for internal and external stakeholders.

💡 Innovation & Continuous Learning

  • Utilize AI prompting tools to enhance research and proposal writing.
  • Stay updated on trends in grant management and nonprofit funding.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to build professional skills.

Required Skills or Experience

 

🎓 Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field.

💼 Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and grant management software is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of AI tools and their application in research and writing.

✍️ Analytical & Writing Skills

  • Strong research abilities to identify and assess funding opportunities.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for proposal development and reporting.

🤝 Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
