Job Description

• Drive safety culture in all aspect of security operations in the process plant.
• Daily management of security operations in the process plant and Critical Production Areas (CPA).
• Ensure compliance with gold room access control procedures.
• Coordinate and implement strategies to ensure the safety and security of asset during plant shutdown activities.
• Lead a team of security guards, assign duties, and monitor performance.
• Ensure shift coverage and proper handover procedures between shifts.
• Oversee entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
• Conduct regular physical patrols of the facility to detect and deter unauthorized activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
• Investigate security breaches, thefts, or accidents, and prepare detailed reports.
• Train security personnel on standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency protocols, and safety policies.
• Conduct regular security drills to ensure timely response to incidents.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, visitor records, and shift reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on security activities for management.
• Keep records of inventory checks, vehicle inspections, and equipment usage.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of first degree in any social science, or related discipline from a recognized institution;
• A relevant professional qualification and certification in security, preferably CPP - ASIS or equivalent;
• A minimum of five (5) years working experience in security duties in a process plant/gold room.
• Basic and practical knowledge of Voluntary Principle on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).
• Exposure to modern asset protection techniques and procedures. 
• Strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills. 
• Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others. 
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute work plans. 
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills. 
• Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license.

• Excellent knowledge in Risk Assessment.
• Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in Security Procedures and Protocols.
• Knowledge and experience in Emergency Preparedness.
• Proven competency in Security Awareness Training.
• Comprehensive experience in Access Control Management.
• Advance knowledge in Incident Response and Investigations.
• Good communication skills and coordinating abilities;
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Ability to keep and manage sensitive and confidential information; 
• Strong computer literacy skills in MS Office suites.
