Job Description

A Company that specializes in establishing and managing commercial farms of crops such as coconut, rubber, cassava, and maize is seeking for dedicated, experienced, and proactive Farm Managers to join the organization. The successful candidates will be assigned to manage farms based on crop specialization.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned commercial farm.
  • Implement and monitor crop-specific farming plans (coconut, rubber, maize, or cassava).
  • Supervise farm workers and contractors to ensure efficient farm operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise land preparation, planting, pest control, irrigation, fertilizer application, and harvesting.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor crop growth and health and recommend necessary interventions.
  • Keep accurate records of farm activities, inputs, and outputs.
  • Liaise and report to Head of Operations on daily basis on issues regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations for effective and efficient running of the farm
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Plan and implement training and capacity building programs for the farm staff.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience managing large-scale farms or crop-specific operations.
  • Proven knowledge in one or more of the following crops: coconut, rubber, cassava, or maize.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in farm data record-keeping and reporting.
  • Familiarity with modern farming practices, technologies, and use of farm machines (Tractor, Planter, etc)
  • Ability to work and live in rural farm locations as required.

Remuneration and Benefits
A competitive salary and performance-based incentives will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation and transportation support may be provided at the farm site.
