Job Description

Job Purpose

A technical position to coordinate activities and ensure Company food safety and quality standards are met on a continuous basis whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory and customer requirements.

Key Outputs

  • Safety – Products. Ensure implementation of the HACCP program. Review of critical records, which relate to product safety and associated
  • disposal decisions. Manages rework team to efficiently recover costs.
  • Quality System – Management and development of Quality Management Systems to meet and exceed company objectives. Supports Thai Union
  • QA Improvement projects. Aggressively promotes quality improvement within PFC.
  • Complaints – Responsible for management of complaint response, data collation and associated improvement projects.. Accountable for good house keeping practices within area of responsibility and assuring a safe working environment for team.
  • Personnel – Management and development of all Quality section personnel. Assist in the development of other departments’ personnel as applicable.
  • Daily Operations – Have responsibility for the daily assurance of Quality in and post process including packaging and pre-shipments inspection activities.
  • EHS – Manage all Environmental, Health and Safety issues in your area of responsibility in line with Company policy Quality – Manage all Quality issues in your area of responsibility in line with Company policy.
  • Deliver any other projects/duties requested by Management

Required Skills or Experience

  • Qualification: BSC /MSc in Food Science or any of the natural sciences from a recognize Institution
  • Quality Management experience of at least 3 years in a Food Manufacturing environment essential. Work Experience: a minimum of 3 to 5years relevant experience excluding National Service
  • Ideally, should hold a degree in Food Science Technology or a related field.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Quality management / HACCP Systems and regulatory requirements necessary.
  • Possess extensive problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to apply reason, logic and data to influence others to get the job done.
  • Be able to quickly determine long-term issues, problems and opportunities and communicate them to key internal contacts
  • Possess good sensory skills
  • Have a strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, preferably having previous experience in working in culturally
  • diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of fish would be an added advantage.
