Job Description
- Duty Station: Central Region (Mankesim, Swedru, Assin Fosu, Twifo Praso)
PURPOSE
Deliver financial literacy training to microfinance group clients at the branch and also support with program scaleup.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery of the financial literacy training sessions at the MF group level
- Contribute to the mobilization of the clients for maximum participation in the training sessions
- Maintain and update the attendance register of training participants
- Prepare and keep records of the session delivery plans that must be delivered in accordance with the approved plans for the training sessions
- Prepare and submit monthly attendance report of training participants for all MF groups
- Follow up on trained clients to offer technical support in applying what have been learnt during the training sessions
- Practice and ensure best practices of service quality at all levels
- Serve as a resource to help program participants realize their financial goals
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the financial literacy program and make recommendations for improvement
- Participate in capacity building training programs organized by BRAC
- Keep in good condition, all BRAC training materials and equipment in possession
Safeguarding responsibilities:
- Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Required Skills or Experience
EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)
- A good working knowledge of Microfinance operations in Ghana
- Previous experience in education/training, finance, social work, youth and community development
- Basic understanding of adult learning principles
- 1-2 years working experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Passion for financial education and youth development
- Detail-oriented, with willingness to learn new skills and techniques to promote quality, efficiency and successful customer outcomes
- Ability to work independently and as a productive team member
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- HND/ Bachelor
- Concentration / Major: Education, Social work, Psychology, Business, Economic, any related field
