Role Overview

We are looking for a design-focused Electrical Engineer with strong technical capabilities and proven on-site execution experience. This role demands someone who can independently lead the complete design of electrical and automation systems, while also ensuring their flawless execution on site. The engineer must have a deep understanding of modern building technologies, including home and building automation, integrated low-voltage systems, and energy efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Automation Design

• Lead the complete design of electrical systems, including HT/LT power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, emergency systems, and energy management.
• Prepare all required design deliverables such as load calculations, DB schedules, SLDs, panel schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and detailed electrical layouts.
• Design and integrate automation systems including home automation, BMS, lighting control systems, occupancy sensors, and smart metering.
• Coordinate closely with architectural and structural teams to ensure MEP integration into the building fabric.
• Specify materials, equipment, and devices aligned with project needs and international standards (IEC, BS, NEC, IEEE).
• Develop BOQs, technical specifications, and ensure tender documentation is design-accurate.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred for senior roles.
• 6–12 years of experience with a strong portfolio in design-led roles, especially for high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial developments.
• Demonstrated experience with automation system design and integration is essential.
• Solid understanding of Ghanaian codes (or relevant local regulations) and international standards (IEC, BS, NEC, etc.).
