Job Description

A blow mold maintenance technician performs maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on blow molding machines and related equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, maintaining quality standards, performing changeovers, assisting with inventory, and adhering to all safety guidelines. 

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, inspect machines for malfunctions, dismantle and repair mechanical and hydraulic components, and replace worn or defective parts.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, operate, and monitor blow molding machines to ensure they run according to specifications and quality standards.
• Equipment Changeovers: Efficiently change over machines to produce different bottle sizes or products.
• Quality Control: Monitor product quality and collaborate with quality control teams to identify and fix production issues.
• Safety: Enforce safety guidelines, communicate hazards, and correctly use personal protective equipment.
• Documentation: Complete all required maintenance paperwork and document production data.
• Support: Assist in training maintenance and production personnel and suggest improvements to increase efficiency. 

Required Skills or Experience

• The role requires strong problem-solving skills,
• The ability to read schematics, mechanical aptitude, and physical stamina for tasks like lifting and standing for extended periods.
