We are a well-reputable and established Ghanaian company engaged in the trading of key agricultural commodities such as roasted cashew, cooking oil, and rice. With operational offices and branches in India and Vietnam, we are strategically positioned to serve global markets. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are expanding into new frontiers, with upcoming offices in Côte d’Ivoire and other African countries. Building on our strong trading foundation, we are now diversifying into the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector with the launch of premium rice and cooking oil brands in Ghana.
 
About the Role
We are embarking on a nationwide rollout of our new rice and cooking oil brands and seeking highly driven Regional Managers to lead sales growth, manage distribution networks, and establish our market presence in every region of Ghana. This role demands proven FMCG professionals who can successfully introduce new products, achieve aggressive sales targets, and build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key trade channels. prepare weekly market and intelligence reports to support decision-making.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the introduction, growth, and dominance of our rice and cooking oil brands in your assigned region.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage distributors and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular trade visits to boost product visibility, merchandising quality, and market penetration.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure consistent product availability.
  • Monitor competitor activities, gather market intelligence, and recommend strategic actions.
  • Oversee in-market activations, promotions, and brand awareness campaigns.
Performance KPIs
  • Sales Volume Growth: Minimum 15% year-on-year in your region.
  • Distribution Coverage: Expand active distributor base by 20% within 12 months.
  • Order Fulfilment: Maintain a 95%+ on-time delivery rate.
  • Stock Management: Keep stock-outs under 2% monthly.
  • Trade Visits: Minimum 15 key distributor visits per month.
  • New Accounts: Acquire 5+ new high-volume customers per quarter.

Required Skills or Experience

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven track record in FMCG sales, preferably in rice and/or cooking oil.
  • Experience in launching and building new products in competitive markets.
  • Strong distributor and wholesaler management skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ FMCG sales experience (3+ years in rice and oil preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your assigned region.
