Job Description

 

The sales team is the engine that drives the consumer reach of our life insurance solutions. We’re seeking a qualified sales manager who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal sales manager has a deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives while building and maintaining a high-performance team.

Objectives of this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Recruit, hire, and train sales team members. 
    • Coach and mentor sales representatives. 
    • Motivate the team to achieve sales goals. 
    • Evaluate and provide feedback on individual and team performance. 
  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans. 
    • Break down, manage and achieve set sales targets and goals. 
    • Manage the sales pipeline and identify opportunities. 
  • Sales Operations and Analytics:
    • Track sales performance and provide reports. 
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
    • Develop and implement processes to improve sales effectiveness. 
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients. 
    • Ensure client satisfaction and address concerns. 
  • Business Development:
    • Identify new market opportunities and expand sales reach. 
    • Develop and execute territory sales plans. 
  • Reporting:
    • Manage weekly and monthly assessment and reporting

Required Skills or Experience

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and coach a sales team. 
  • Sales Expertise: Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing. 
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to communicate with sales team members, clients and stakeholders. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends. 
  • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve challenges related to sales performance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
