Job Description

English Language and Literature Teacher required to

• Plan the effective teaching and learning of English Language and Literature for pupils in the Common Core Programme (JHS),
• Teach and provide learning opportunities in English Language and Literature for pupils in the in the Common Core Programme (JHS).

Required Skills or Experience

• BEd in English or similar qualification
• Must have completed their National Service
• A minimum of three years of Post Qualification experience in a similar setting (ie a Private Christian Primary and JHS School). More experienced candidates with managerial or administrative experience as a Head of Department or similar position, are especially welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
• A good written and spoken command of the English Language
• Should be able to demonstrate Critical Thinking skills
• ICT proficiency
• Be able to participate in all aspects of school activities

Will be required to set a good example in terms of punctuality, attendance, behaviour and dress to enhance the School's reputation and standing with parents and pupils.
