Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role is responsible for supporting the smooth daily operations of the shop by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining product displays and following established standard operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Assist customers in finding products, providing information and making purchasing decisions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in-store, online or by phone.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, features and benefits.
  • Promote sales by highlighting product features, benefits, and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including cash handling and returns.
  • Keep proper and accurate records for approved creditors
  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials to the store and reconcile with stock request and waybill
  • Perform monthly stock taking and reconciling with ERP with supervision from the Retail Manager
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to Retail Manager.
  • Packaging and labeling products before they are dispatched
  • Arrange and label products in the store room for easy identification and accessibility
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting colleagues when needed.
  • Represent the brand professionally and uphold company values at all times.
  • Attaching and updating price tags to merchandise on the shop floor
  • Keep the store and shop floor clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintaining ISO documentation and record keeping
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
  • Risk Assessment
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Higher National Diploma in any relevant field
  • A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in sales

SKILLS & ABILITIES
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer skills including the ability to use database marketing and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service skills
