Job Description
- Location: Kumbumgu, Nanton, Karaga, Savelugu, East Gonja, Central Gonja
- Length of Commitment: 9 months (renewable)

Position Summary
IPA is looking to recruit Assistant Field Manager(s) to manage field activities on a new research project. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position.
Reports to: Research Associate
Job description: The Assistant Field Manager will work closely with the Research Associate and will oversee the adequate execution of all field-based data collection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment and training of the IPA and partner field team.
- Supervise and monitor IPA field teams during field surveys.
- Supervise and monitor partner field agents during intervention.
- Manage finances and track field expenditures.
- Assist with data reconciliation and management.
- Pilot and develop instruments with the Field Manager, Research Associate /Research Manager.
- Manage and track survey and intervention equipment used in the field.
- Accurately evaluate the performance of IPA and partner field staff during recruitment, training, and data collection using a field monitoring form.
- Adhere to all IPA survey protocols and ensure field teams also do the same.
- Report all concerns and issues immediately to the Field Manager, Research Associate/Research Manager.
- Promptly respond to contact from the IPA Field Manager, Research Associate, Associate Research Manager, Research Manager or other IPA staff.
- Be responsible for maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organisations and project participants.
- Perform other work-related duties that may be assigned.

Required Skills or Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Project management experience, including experience in supervising, designing, and implementing data collection and managing large teams of enumerators/surveyors, is preferred.
- Field research knowledge (Familiarity with RCT and other field research methodologies, survey techniques, and data collection procedures is highly beneficial)
- Fluency in English, Dagbani, Gonja and Likpakpa and any other of the dominant languages in the survey sites.
- Excellent management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience working in an international NGO is a plus.
Note:
- There will be an aptitude test and interviews for external shortlisted candidates
- Trainees who perform best at the surveyor training will be considered for engagement and/or other leadership positions.
- Being a resident of the above-mentioned districts is preferable
