Job Description

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible to the Registrar of the university. He or she has the mandate of ensuring the right staff-mix is available at the right time and place, trained, motivated, and retained.

Job functions
The HR Manager’s main duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

  • Provide strategic planning in human resource management for the University.
  • Administer Conditions of Service.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of human resource policies of the University.
  • Provide policy options on human-resource-related issues through the Registrar for the consideration of appropriate committees.
  • Forecast and facilitate staff recruitment and establishment.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the administration of pensions.
  • Keep and update staff records.
  • Validate certificates and other educational/professional qualifications submitted by applicants seeking appointments.

 

Required Skills or Experience

The candidate must:

  • Possess a minimum of master’s degree with specialization in human resource management, general management, administration, management science, or a closely related area.
  • Have some professional experience in the specific area.

Terms of Appointment

  • The appointment shall be full-time.
  • Salary and conditions of service attached to the position is very attractive
