Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is currently looking to hire an experienced and proactive Human Resource Officer to help with their operations in Ghana.

Role Profile

The successful candidate will manage and provide support on end-to-end HR related activities within the factory. It will include;

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Performance management of all the factory employees
  • Conduct job analysis for each job to know the worth and reward employees accordingly
  • Management of salaries and wages for the employees
  • Ensure cordial harmonious industrial relations at the factory level 
  • Address safety concerns and ensure all safety programs are followed within the unit.
  • Negotiate with union to arrive at consensus and frame a draft agreement
  • Play a key role in forecasting the labour requirements and plan them accordingly
  • Manage time and attendance
  • Give training and development to the employees
  • Ensure safety and healthy working conditions for employees within the unit
  • Monitor compliance needs on a monthly basis and corrective measures taken based on the monthly report.

Required Skills or Experience

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field 
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Union and labour relation experience is highly advantageous
  • Factory Support experience is highly advantageous
  • Preferably candidate living in Tema

Requirement

  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • Organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Protecting the interests of all employees.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
